Lab Leak: A Congressional Briefing on the Taxpayer-Funded Wuhan Animal Lab and the Leading COVID Origin Hypothesis

Dr. Steven Quay speaks as part of WCW’s Lab Leak Congressional Briefing, focusing on five key points supporting the theory of COVID-19 originating from a laboratory. He discusses the absence of pre-epidemic infections, the lack of evidence for animal hosts, and the genetic purity of the virus at the outset, suggesting a laboratory origin. Dr. Quay then delves into the unique features of the virus, such as the insertion of a spike protein and its adaptation for human infection, pointing to experiments that could have led to its creation. He concludes with a call for public debate on the safety and regulation of gain-of-function experiments to prevent future pandemics.

Steven Quay is the founder of Seattle-based Atossa Therapeutics Inc. (Nasdaq: ATOS), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel therapeutics and delivery methods for breast cancer and other breast conditions.
